A collision led to Mogi FC - DMZ- getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Christiano Pirani hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Elivélton Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Ciccio Biagetti in the 43rd minute really tested Paulo José Matorin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 45th minute FC Catalunha were awarded a corner. Ciccio Biagetti went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on FC Catalunha's corner Celso Cardozo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Paulo José Matorin quite easily take care of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mikael Lingren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Vito de Godoi managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Mogi FC - DMZ-'s Tadeu Custódio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei Lucas in the 60th minute of play forced Mogi FC - DMZ-'s goalkeeper Paulo José Matorin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Tadeu Custódio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Vito de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Geromel in the 72nd minute of play. Nilton Secco charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nilton Secco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
