In the 5th minute of the match Sport Club Mavericks got a corner. MONTANHA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fernando Lucas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Freddy Cordarrell charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Freddy Cordarrell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Freddy Cordarrell hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Czeslaw Walec got free with Xande Gay in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wei Guang Xing could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Xande Gay made a huge save. In the 18th minute, Fernando Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xande Gay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wei Guang Xing, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Sport Club Mavericks's Xande Gay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Sport Club Mavericks from getting a goal against them. Jens Mikaelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zézinho Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The MONTANHA fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when MONTANHA's Czeslaw Walec looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Xande Gay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wei Guang Xing in the 27th minute. Sport Club Mavericks's Freddy Cordarrell got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Víctor Cuesta managed to get in a good position for a shot. MONTANHA's supporters rose to their feet, but Víctor Cuesta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xande Gay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jens Mikaelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Cordarrell in the 40th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
If Zézinho Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sport Club Mavericks's Xande Gay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wei Guang Xing in the 53rd minute of play. Xande Gay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomir Narbut in the 56th minute of play. MONTANHA's Jens Mikaelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zézinho Lopez in the 58th minute of play. When Roger Guerra fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MONTANHA's protests and gave Roger Guerra a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th minute, Roger Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sport Club Mavericks's Pavlo Kotyuk was substituted for Alfredão Paiva. Sport Club Mavericks's Deivid Fantini was substituted for Zézinho Lopez. 66 minutes into the match, MONTANHA's Radomir Narbut sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xande Gay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Claudemiro Fragosos short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Jens Mikaelsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 69th match minute, Sport Club Mavericks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fellipe Souto to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Claudemiro Fragoso made a precise shot to the right of Jens Mikaelsson. MONTANHA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 77 minutes of play MONTANHA's Roger Guerra was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Roger Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deivid Fantini in the 78th minute of play forced MONTANHA's goalkeeper Jens Mikaelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Víctor Cuesta came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the MONTANHA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Víctor Cuesta couldn't finish the play. Jens Mikaelsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Claudemiro Fragoso showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 90 minute of play. In the 93rd minute of the match, Deivid Fantini tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jens Mikaelsson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, MONTANHA's Radomir Narbut got a free kick in the 94th minute. Deivid Fantini, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Chants of Sport Club Mavericks echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as MONTANHA had held the ball for most of the match.
