André Freire got a throw-in 12 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Thomás de Azevedo. The supporters of Estrela Futebol Club booed when AC Augustville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Lukaku didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Michel Lukaku ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reynaldo Custódio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The supporters of Estrela Futebol Club booed when AC Augustville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Lukaku didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd match minute, AC Augustville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Poltak Pařil to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Estrela Futebol Club's Délio Dante threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jonas Domingues, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Jonas Domingues put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Délio Dante. Manfredo Bueno came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Délio Dante could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Estrela Futebol Club's Thomás de Azevedo got a free kick in the 31st minute. Reynaldo Custódio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Lukaku, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, AC Augustville's Michel Lukaku sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Reynaldo Custódio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 35th minute Michel Lukaku shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Custódio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AC Augustville's Délio Dante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save AC Augustville from getting a goal against them. Reynaldo Custódio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Lukaku, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reynaldo Custódio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Lukaku in the 45th minute of play. Michel Lukaku's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reynaldo Custódio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Jonas Domingues made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in AC Augustville's zone, Zé Prata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Délio Dante came out of the goal and Zé Prata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonas Domingues in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Délio Dante prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 61st match minute, AC Augustville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Poltak Pařil to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes into the match, Manfredo Bueno notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of AC Augustville's Délio Dante. Délio Dante was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 69th minute, Jonas Domingues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gaizka Jaraba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Reynaldo Custódio made a huge save. If Gaizka Jaraba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Délio Dante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 81st minute Jonas Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Délio Dante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaizka Jaraba got free with Reynaldo Custódio in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to AC Augustville getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Richard Brahms hit a great ball. Sebastião Perez took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reynaldo Custódio. Reynaldo Custódio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Délio Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Domingues in the 95th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the game, Sebastião Perez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Augustville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Estrela Futebol Club the free kick.
