The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gerardo Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Juan Cordeal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Cordeal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucas Idacio went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 14 minutes into the match, Lucas Idacio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juan Cordeal. Manojo de Garra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas Idacio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Juan Cordeal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 18 played minutes, Talacasto's Gerardo Velasco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Juan Cordeal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Talacasto reached it. Lucas Idacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Manojo de Garra's Juan Cordeal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Velasco in the 21st minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Manojo de Garra's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Velasco came free, but Juan Cordeal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Lucas Idacio notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Manojo de Garra's Juan Cordeal. Juan Cordeal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ramiro Teyo made a kick off. Juan Cordeal made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Omar Monte sent off a good shot on target. Lucas Idacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Cordeal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Monte in the 59th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Manojo de Garra's zone, Gerardo Velasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Cordeal came out of the goal and Gerardo Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juan Cordeal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Omar Monte in the 71st minute. After 72 minutes, Omar Monte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Talacasto and the Manojo de Garra players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Talacasto getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Omar Monte hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Roberto Luix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Froilan Mambru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Cordeal having to interfere. After having played for 78 minutes, Gerardo Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Talacasto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerardo Velasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Lucas Idacio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juan Cordeal. Manojo de Garra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas Idacio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. In the 83rd minute, Froilan Mambru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Talacasto booed when Manojo de Garra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Montrelle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Cordeal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gerardo Velasco's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. After 94 played minutes Manojo de Garra got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Montrelle. After 96 played minutes Manojo de Garra got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Azeari. Talacasto's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
