They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Peep Pronk made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's Emiliano Velasco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fulgencio Eyague narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fulgencio Eyague showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Czeslaw Kopacz in the 57th minute of the match. Fulgencio Eyague made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Emiliano Velasco sent off a good shot on target. Emiliano Velasco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Fulgencio Eyague when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a left leg Fernando Selatse saved Despidida AFC from getting behind. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Despidida AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hermenegildo Ventura was slow to take the kick. During this time AC LeX Luthor's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Hermenegildo Ventura got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fernando Selatse quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gelu Ioniță charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gelu Ioniță the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Despidida AFC booed when AC LeX Luthor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gelu Ioniță didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, AC LeX Luthor's Gelu Ioniță got a free kick in the 85th minute. Fulgencio Eyague made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Feliksas Fenichev sent off a good shot on target. In the 97th minute of the match Despidida AFC got a corner. AC LeX Luthor's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fulgencio Furman ran over to the corner to take the kick. Despidida AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
