In the 16th match minute, Autocares Vázquez Olmedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Willetts to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the game, Flamengo's Andrew Gillespie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ronnie Law made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Ronnie Law took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Smefeldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Flamengo booed when Autocares Vázquez Olmedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ash Taylor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Darius McRaild charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darius McRaild the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th match minute, Autocares Vázquez Olmedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darius McRaild to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the game, Andrew Gillespie recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ronnie Law. When %teams%'s Marlon Mumford was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 6-0 just inside the left pole, 37 minutes into the game. Ronnie Law was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Ash Taylor lost his temper 43 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Ash Taylor kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Ronnie Law showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rain Kuusk, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Pierce Hurdle made the kick off in the second half. Rain Kuusk scored 7-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ronnie Law, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frances Gardiner during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 55 minutes, Hans Smefeldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flamengo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hans Smefeldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ronnie Law showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rory Trimble, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 59 minutes into the game, Rory Trimble cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Ronnie Law was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 64 minutes into the match, Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Smefeldt came free, but Ronnie Law reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Hans Smefeldt came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Flamengo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hans Smefeldt couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rory Trimble in the 94th minute of play forced Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's goalkeeper Ronnie Law to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Flamengo were the better team. Flamengo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
