Stiff Browne hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Vinicio Carballeira put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Marcus King. Memphis Grizzlies were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Yapton's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ronny Theobold took the corner. The corner led Memphis Grizzlies's Ronny Theobold to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcus King despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 17th minute there was a penalty for Memphis Grizzlies. Vinicio Carballeira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marcus King. 0-3. After having played for 22 minutes, Vinicio Carballeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Memphis Grizzlies's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinicio Carballeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yapton's Marcus King played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Carballeira in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Stiff Browne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vinicio Carballeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Marcus King tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Vinicio Carballeira made a precise shot to the right of Marcus King. Yapton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. 38 minutes into the match, Memphis Grizzlies's Vinicio Carballeira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcus King narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 41 minutes into the game, Stiff Browne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yapton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Memphis Grizzlies the free kick. 44 minutes into the match, Vinicio Carballeira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcus King. Yapton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vinicio Carballeira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Vinicio Carballeira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcus King read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vinicio Carballeira to strike the kick off in the second half. Yapton's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Vinicio Carballeira scored to the left of an out of position Marcus King, making the score, 1-7. Vinicio Carballeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Vinicio Carballeira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcus King. The goal made the score 1-8. Memphis Grizzlies's Ty Hislop was substituted for Ian Prutton. Memphis Grizzlies made a substitution. Stuart Banks replaced Vinicio Carballeira. Ty Hislop received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcus King came out and tried to block the shot, but Ty Hislop slotted it home off the left post making it 1-9 in the 65th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ty Hislop got free with Marcus King in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yapton's Marcus King played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stuart Banks in the 73rd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Stuart Banks made a precise shot to the right of Marcus King. Yapton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-10. Marcus King took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ty Hislop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcus King came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Memphis Grizzlies's Stuart Banks. But to his dismay, Stuart Banks quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-11. Marcus King showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ty Hislop, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ty Hislop got free with Marcus King in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Memphis Grizzlies's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
