Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Connor Ashton kicked off to start the match. Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's Zak Boulton got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 4 minutes into the game, Zak Boulton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Frankie Cardwell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's Gary Carroll got a free kick in the 7th minute. The supporters of Autocares Vázquez Olmedo booed when Ballymoney Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Connor Ashton didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Kiera Archer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Frankie Cardwell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wilfried Stekelenburg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Frankie Cardwell. Ballymoney Athletic's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Zak Boulton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Frankie Cardwell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 22 minutes into the match, Pierce Hurdle notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Ballymoney Athletic's Frankie Cardwell. Frankie Cardwell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Kiera Archer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Frankie Cardwell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Darius McRaild went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Frankie Cardwell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierce Hurdle in the 33rd minute of the match. Zak Boulton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, Zak Boulton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Autocares Vázquez Olmedo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Darius McRaild in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frankie Cardwell saved Ballymoney Athletic from getting behind. Pierce Hurdle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Frankie Cardwell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frankie Cardwell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierce Hurdle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frankie Cardwell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pierce Hurdle's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pierce Hurdle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Autocares Vázquez Olmedo got a freekick which was hit by Gary Carroll. Ballymoney Athletic's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Kiera Archer scored to the left of an out of position Frankie Cardwell, making the score, 0-7. If Pierce Hurdle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Connor Ashton during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 70 minutes into the match, Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's Pierce Hurdle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frankie Cardwell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bronagh Rice's late challenge caught a Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bronagh Rice helped the player get up and apologised. Bronagh Rice kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Kiera Archers short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Frankie Cardwell to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Pierce Hurdle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sly MacDonnell's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Alexander Holden on his right side and into the goal. 79 minutes into the game it was 1-8. In the 88th minute Zak Boulton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frankie Cardwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ballymoney Athletic's Frankie Cardwell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Ballymoney Athletic from getting a goal against them. Pierce Hurdles short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Frankie Cardwell to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
