An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeng Bin Nan in the 9th minute of play forced Mayo's goalkeeper Alexander Bird to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, The Handsome Wizards UTD's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Pagomari came free, but Marcial Cisquella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute Guido Pagomari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Cisquella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcial Cisquella made an important save on a dangerous shot by Steve Oliver in the 13th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Steve Oliver got free with Marcial Cisquella in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcial Cisquella showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Pagomari, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Alexander Bird didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Handsome Wizards UTD. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mayo fans cheered their team off the field, for while The Handsome Wizards UTD had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
