Jon Connell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Guido Pagomari took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jon Connell. Jon Connell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 11 minutes into the match, Valiant F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Farmer came free, but Jon Connell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jon Connell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Pagomari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th match minute, Mayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gez Flintoff to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the game, Gonzalo Astrada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valiant F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mayo the free kick. Alexander Bird showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Astrada, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After a rather tough play, Valiant F.C's Gonzalo Astrada got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Valiant F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Steve Oliver came free, but Jon Connell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexander Bird made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gonzalo Astrada in the 38th minute. After 42 played minutes Valiant F.C got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Henry. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guido Pagomari was the one to do the kick off. Charlie Chamberlain charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With a little luck, Valiant F.C's Jon Connell got control of the ball when Alfredo Miliano tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 64 played minutes Mayo got a freekick which was hit by Gez Flintoff. Mayo's Des Gill was substituted for Samuel Farmer. Gez Flintoff kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Alexander Bird showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Astrada in the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute Gonzalo Astrada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Bird saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jon Connell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Robins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Mayo's William Symons to a score. 0-3 in the 78th minute. With a little luck, Valiant F.C's Jon Connell got control of the ball when Steve Oliver tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 88thth minute of the game Steve Oliver who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valiant F.C's Jon Connell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 88 minutes, Steve Oliver made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Valiant F.C's Jon Connell tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mayo's Alexander Bird played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yu Ting Jian in the 90th minute of play. Patrick Robins had several of the Valiant F.C's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 92 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-6 score and a disappointed Jon Connell as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Steve Oliver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Valiant F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mayo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
