Matt Friend scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucas Young, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the match, T H F C's goal looked a bit too open when Mattias Metcalfe came free, but Bladi Fuster reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carl Deaconsfield in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucas Young prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd minute Alfie Chivers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bladi Fuster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martyn Featherstone was the one to do the kick off. Lucas Young showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronan Sugden, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Franz Midgley came free with the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lucas Young could save by the left post. Bladi Fuster made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martyn Featherstone in the 53rd minute of play. Despite this Lucas Young quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. T H F C were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after The Youth Project's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mihai Blajin took the corner. After taking down the ball on T H F C's corner Mihai Blajin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lucas Young quite easily take care of the ball. Franz Midgley's late challenge caught a The Youth Project's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franz Midgley helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of The Youth Project booed when T H F C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franz Midgley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franz Midgley struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Lucas Young didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for T H F C. The Youth Project's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
