With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valter Lindell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Per Lundqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 28 played minutes Miata FC got a freekick which was hit by Kristoffer Wallin. If Melker Kleen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute Melker Kleen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valter Lindell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Miata FC's Valter Lindell got control of the ball when Peder Ahlfors tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 46 played minutes The Hornets got a freekick which was hit by Sven Björklund. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Per Lundqvist to make the kick off. When The Hornets's Melker Kleen in 57 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Valter Lindell guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After 62 minutes of play The Hornets's Sven Björklund was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 63 played minutes The Hornets got a freekick which was hit by Sven Björklund. If Sture Olsman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valter Lindell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peder Ahlfors in the 75th minute of play. Per Lundqvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joakim Ekegren having to make a save. If Sture Olsman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per Lundqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sture Olsman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valter Lindell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
