In the 2nd minute Sotiris Koupepes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magnus Skålberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Eda FF's goal looked a bit too open when Sotiris Koupepes came free, but Magnus Skålberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Folke Björkdal made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Iulian Buhoiu sent off a good shot on target. Sotiris Koupepes took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Magnus Skålberg. Magnus Skålberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Wolverhampton's Patrik Lingren got a free kick in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sotiris Koupepes in the 19th minute of play forced Eda FF's goalkeeper Magnus Skålberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute Sotiris Koupepes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magnus Skålberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Magnus Skålberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sotiris Koupepes in the 25th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Wolverhampton's Bengt-Rune Mellbad got a free kick in the 34th minute. Wolverhampton's Folke Björkdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Biörk in the 35th minute of play. Eda FF were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Wolverhampton's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Evert Eriksson took the corner. The corner led Eda FF's Carl Biörk to fire away a dangerous shot which Folke Björkdal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Eda FF booed when Wolverhampton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt-Rune Mellbad didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eda FF's goalkeeper Magnus Skålberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Sotiris Koupepes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eda FF's Magnus Skålberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 50th minute of the match, managed to save Eda FF from getting a goal against them. Sotiris Koupepes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Magnus Skålberg having to make a save. Sotiris Koupepes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Magnus Skålberg made a huge save. Magnus Skålberg was a little too slow when Sotiris Koupepes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-2. When Sixten Erserman fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eda FF's protests and gave Sixten Erserman a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Eda FF! Eda FF made a substitution. Stor Stakemann replaced Iulian Buhoiu. Magnus Skålberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrik Lingren in the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stor Stakemann in the 64th minute of play forced Wolverhampton's goalkeeper Folke Björkdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 65 minutes, Sotiris Koupepes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wolverhampton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sotiris Koupepes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcel Salmon hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. If Sotiris Koupepes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sotiris Koupepes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Magnus Skålberg made a huge save. Sotiris Koupepes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Magnus Skålberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Sotiris Koupepes slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 73rd minute. Sotiris Koupepes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Magnus Skålberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Eda FF's Magnus Skålberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sotiris Koupepes in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Eda FF's goal looked a bit too open when Patrik Lingren came free, but Magnus Skålberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Magnus Skålberg had great luck who in the 85thth minute grab hold of the ball when Patrik Lingren from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sotiris Koupepes in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Magnus Skålberg saved Eda FF from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Wolverhampton's Patrik Lingren got a free kick in the 89th minute. Allan Burmeister hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eda FF's goalkeeper Magnus Skålberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Stor Stakemann scored 1-3 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Folke Björkdal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
