The Rönnöfors FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Magne Gunnarsson should have stopped the shot. In the 9th minute of the match AC Perugia Calcio got a corner. Rönnöfors FF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Prospero Aztore ran over to the corner to take the kick. AC Perugia Calcio's Prospero Aztore was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Magne Gunnarsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 19 minutes, Per Tunström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rönnöfors FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Per Tunström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christoffer Jernberg made in the 22nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Lukas Bambas however managed to control. In the 29th minute Per Tunström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brede Bonk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Rönnöfors FF's goal looked a bit too open when Lukas Bambas came free, but Magne Gunnarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Lukas Bambas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Magne Gunnarsson. Rönnöfors FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lukas Bambas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Magne Gunnarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lukas Bambas, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The corner ended in Henry Fagerberg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AC Perugia Calcio's Brede Bonk did a great save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

AC Perugia Calcio made a substitution. Samuel Kristiansson replaced Christian Forssberg. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henry Fagerberg was the one to do the kick off. After 54 minutes, Lukas Bambas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC Perugia Calcio and the Rönnöfors FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, AC Perugia Calcio's Lukas Bambas got a free kick in the 55th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henry Fagerberg in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brede Bonk saved AC Perugia Calcio from getting behind. Magne Gunnarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lukas Bambas, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Prospero Aztore might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Magne Gunnarsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. If Torsten Åman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henry Fagerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brede Bonk having to interfere. Brede Bonk made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Per Tunström sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute Rönnöfors FF were awarded a corner. Per Stenberg went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of AC Perugia Calcio's goalie and right to Sigvard Biörnberg. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. AC Perugia Calcio's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 92nd minute, Torsten Åman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 94 played minutes, Rönnöfors FF's Per Stenberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Brede Bonk came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rönnöfors FF reached it. Brede Bonk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Fagerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. A nice corner shot did that Per Tunström got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Brede Bonk quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match had gone on for 98 minutes, Per Tunström put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Brede Bonk. AC Perugia Calcio were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Rönnöfors FF for a fine match.
