Antoon Zeegers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfred Konradsson in the 3rd minute of play. George Wiklund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Frankena in the 4th minute of the match. After 6 played minutes Lemel SV got a freekick which was hit by Yuri Roelofsen. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pisang Goreng United's goalkeeper Antoon Zeegers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Morningstar in the 11th minute of play forced Lemel SV's goalkeeper George Wiklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute of the match Wim Ronde sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but George Wiklund skillfully saved the ball. Antoon Zeegers was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Manfred Konradsson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pisang Goreng United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Claudio Caniggia was slow to take the kick. During this time Lemel SV's players had a chance to rest. Vincent Frankena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Wiklund having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Vincent Frankena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antoon Zeegers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfred Konradsson in the 32nd minute of the match. The supporters of Lemel SV booed when Pisang Goreng United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ted van Duuren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute of the match Claudio Caniggia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antoon Zeegers skillfully saved the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Lemel SV's goal looked a bit too open when Vincent Frankena came free, but George Wiklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Manfred Konradsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoon Zeegers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th match minute, Lemel SV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Reyes to maneuver through the defense. Antoon Zeegers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfred Konradsson in the 42nd minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manfred Konradsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Antoon Zeegers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manfred Konradsson went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfred Konradsson in the 56th minute of play forced Pisang Goreng United's goalkeeper Antoon Zeegers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lemel SV's Dennis Bergkamp was substituted for Manfred Konradsson. In the 59th match minute, Pisang Goreng United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Schulte to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute of the match, Lucio Morningstar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but George Wiklund saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience was convinced that Dennis Bergkamp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antoon Zeegers was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Pisang Goreng United's Antoon Zeegers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Bergkamp in the 67th minute of play. Lucio Morningstar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. George Wiklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antoon Zeegers came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Lemel SV's Dennis Bergkamp. But to his dismay, Dennis Bergkamp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Pisang Goreng United's Wim Ronde shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 76th minute of play. The shot was stopped by George Wiklund but with some difficulty. Lemel SV's Dennis Bergkamp got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Pisang Goreng United defense, Dennis Bergkamp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antoon Zeegers. The Pisang Goreng United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antoon Zeegers should have stopped the shot. Pisang Goreng United were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after Lemel SV's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wim Ronde took the corner. The corner ended in Wim Ronde almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lemel SV's George Wiklund did a great save. George Wiklund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabian Kremer's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. There was no doubt that Lemel SV were the better team. Lemel SV's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
