After 41 minutes of play, La Pointe Courte's Roch Felenak made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Qiu Zhi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roch Felenak might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Qiu Zhi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roch Felenak ran back to his position shaking his head. Qiu Zhi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roch Felenak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

La Pointe Courte walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
