The audience thought a goal was coming when Manolo Lacorte got free with Helge Schleie in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Toni Herrero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nevada Silvestre having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Rayo Tharkad's zone, Tommy Rabot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nevada Silvestre came out of the goal and Tommy Rabot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute, Toni Herrero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nevada Silvestre was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Barba in the 18th minute of play forced Rayo Tharkad's goalkeeper Nevada Silvestre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nevada Silvestre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommy Rabot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 played minutes Xaloc got a freekick which was hit by Tymoteusz Bronkala. Xaloc's Helge Schleie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apoena Ocaña in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Xaloc's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hondo Arratia fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 24 minutes into the match, Xaloc's goalkeeper Helge Schleie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manolo Lacorte. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hondo Arratia in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Helge Schleie saved Xaloc from getting behind. Nevada Silvestre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Herrero in the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Xaloc's goal looked a bit too open when Apoena Ocaña came free, but Helge Schleie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute of the match Rayo Tharkad got a corner. Xaloc's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zumar Figueroa ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Rayo Tharkad getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Hondo Arratia hit a great ball. Rayo Tharkad made a substitution. Hector Dorado replaced Salbatore Fuentes. Hondo Arratia kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Xaloc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Apoena Ocaña was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1.
