An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaias Matas in the 34th minute of play forced KFC Cromvelde's goalkeeper Jean-Louis Van Bever to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Barcelos hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Thys Lenoir hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Olavarria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mathijs Rokeloos came free, but Michel Hendrickx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Arnauld Tombuer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jean-Louis Van Bever was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Arnauld Tombuer got in the 78th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jean-Louis Van Bever handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After having played for 79 minutes, Karl-Heinz Kaltz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Cromvelde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Heinz Kaltz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Olavarria FC booed when KFC Cromvelde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herman Frans didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 87 played minutes KFC Cromvelde got a freekick which was hit by Joel Barcelos. 88 minutes into the match, KFC Cromvelde's goal looked a bit too open when Arnauld Tombuer came free, but Jean-Louis Van Bever reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Cromvelde's zone, Arnauld Tombuer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean-Louis Van Bever came out of the goal and Arnauld Tombuer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jean-Louis Van Bever took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timy Wolfdoncx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olavarria FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of KFC Cromvelde for a fine match.
