The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Kristofers Sajuks scored 1-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Piotr Tworek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 10th minute Viesturs Pilāns shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jude Crocker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vilis Lācis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Iecēni's goalkeeper Piotr Tworek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Uvis Svitiņš got free with Jude Crocker in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jude Crocker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olavs Eliass in the 44th minute. 45 minutes had been played when some careless play by TΞKMΛN FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leons Gudrenieks was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Iecēni's players had a chance to rest. In the 71st minute of the match, Kristofers Sajuks got a very nice opportunity to score, but Piotr Tworek was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The TΞKMΛN FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing TΞKMΛN FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
