Toms Felss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Dortāns in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind GAUJA's goalkeeper Toms Felss, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Michal Noworolnik kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 10thth minute. Though ot was a great shot FC Riga's keeper Saivis Kikals was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 12th minute, Marin Ailenei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Toms Felss was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Toms Felss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimmy Svenningsted, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by GAUJA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jimmy Svenningsted was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Riga's players had a chance to rest. FC Riga's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jimmy Svenningsted in the 28th minute. A nice corner shot did that Jimmy Svenningsted got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Toms Felss quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Toms Felss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marin Ailenei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saivis Kikals made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Michal Noworolnik sent off a good shot on target. 34 minutes into the match, GAUJA's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Dortāns came free, but Toms Felss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Marin Ailenei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute of the match Ion Ţiriac shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Saivis Kikals showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 44 minutes, Nils Dortāns managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Riga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils Dortāns was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Marin Ailenei came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the FC Riga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marin Ailenei couldn't finish the play. Laimiņs Veterbergs kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Michal Noworolnik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Saivis Kikals made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antonio Lluis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, FC Riga's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Lluis came free, but Saivis Kikals reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marin Ailenei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Toms Felss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Lluis in the 71st minute of play forced FC Riga's goalkeeper Saivis Kikals to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marin Ailenei's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Toms Felss skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 79th minute, Normunds Brencāns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to FC Riga getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Normunds Brencāns hit a great ball. When Nils Dortāns came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the FC Riga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nils Dortāns couldn't finish the play. In the 87th match minute, GAUJA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Qiao Mo Xi to maneuver through the defense. Jimmy Svenningsted took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Toms Felss. GAUJA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. FC Riga's Marin Ailenei was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Toms Felss in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jimmy Svenningsted sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marin Ailenei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Toms Felss made a huge save. A collision led to GAUJA getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Ion Ţiriac hit a great ball.
