Ilie Slătineanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Mareks Vārpiņš made a huge save. Muammer Taşcıoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severīns Pirtslāva in the 18th minute of play. In the 27th minute Severīns Pirtslāva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Muammer Taşcıoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Severīns Pirtslāva notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Nereta's Muammer Taşcıoğlu. Muammer Taşcıoğlu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ilie Slătineanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute Grigore Drăgan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Muammer Taşcıoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th match minute, FC Nereta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilie Slătineanu to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severīns Pirtslāva was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Grigore Drăgan sped through FC Nereta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Muammer Taşcıoğlu. In the 54th minute, Ilie Slătineanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
