FK Tornado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Enmanuel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 8 minutes FK Tornado's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jimmy Svenningsted who took care of the corner kick. The corner led FC Riga's Jimmy Svenningsted to fire away a dangerous shot which Sigit Sulaksana despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Saivis Kikals showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arkādijs Vietnieks, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. FK Tornado's Rodolfo Enmanuel got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arkādijs Vietnieks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sigit Sulaksana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils Dortāns, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. FC Riga's Saivis Kikals played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by He Chen Xi in the 28th minute of play. Voldemārs Cariņš kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, FC Riga's goal looked a bit too open when He Chen Xi came free, but Saivis Kikals reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marin Ailenei to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as FK Tornado's He Chen Xi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Saivis Kikals. That made the score 0-1 after 61 minutes of play. Jimmy Svenningsted sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FK Tornado booed when FC Riga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marin Ailenei didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 72 played minutes FK Tornado got a freekick which was hit by Agris Kiegelis. After 72 played minutes, FC Riga's Jimmy Svenningsted shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sigit Sulaksana came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Sigit Sulaksana was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marin Ailenei in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sigit Sulaksana saved FK Tornado from getting behind. Sigit Sulaksana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Dortāns in the 96th minute of the match. FK Tornado were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing FC Riga to leave the ground with a draw.
