AC Milan's attentive Kostas Giannakidis managed to snatch the ball when Lu Zhou Mo made a throw-in in the 2nd minute of the game. A.E.T.'s Ünal Başar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Head in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes had been played when some careless play by A.E.T.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Beniamin Gendolla was slow to take the kick. During this time AC Milan's players had a chance to rest. In the 6th match minute, AC Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaap Stam to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the match, Kleon Liaskovitis sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Gilles Eekhout threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Kleon Liaskovitis this time. In the 9th minute, A.E.T.'s Zinon Galanos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gilles Eekhout. Gilles Eekhout yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A.E.T.'s Ünal Başar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Head in the 15th minute of play. A.E.T. were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after AC Milan's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kleon Liaskovitis took the corner. The corner ended in Kleon Liaskovitis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AC Milan's Gilles Eekhout did a great save. A.E.T.'s Ünal Başar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Head in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to AC Milan getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Beniamin Gendolla hit a great ball. Zinon Galanos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Gilles Eekhout made a huge save. A.E.T.'s Ünal Başar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berke Korucu in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Bank in the 32nd minute of play forced AC Milan's goalkeeper Gilles Eekhout to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute Berke Korucu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ünal Başar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zinon Galanos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gilles Eekhout firmly grabbed it by the left post. 43 minutes into the match, A.E.T.'s goal looked a bit too open when Valerios Papagiannakos came free, but Ünal Başar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilles Eekhout made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 柯锋真 in the 46th minute of play. A collision led to A.E.T. getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Zinon Galanos hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emil Bank to strike the kick off in the second half. When Refik Sargınal fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Milan's protests and gave Refik Sargınal a yellow card for diving instead. Gilles Eekhout made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zinon Galanos in the 52nd minute of play. A.E.T. were furious when Stamatis Kolitsidakis was red carded, 55 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for A.E.T.! Ünal Başar had in the 57thth minute some difficulties stopping Beniamin Gendolla's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The audience was convinced that Emil Bank's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilles Eekhout was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. In the 65th minute, AC Milan's Jardel Head dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. AC Milan made a substitution. Tony Hegg replaced Valerios Papagiannakos. After having played for 70 minutes, Beniamin Gendolla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Milan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beniamin Gendolla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of AC Milan booed when A.E.T. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yasin Yerel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ünal Başar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tony Hegg in the 74th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jardel Head in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ünal Başar saved A.E.T. from getting behind. Gilles Eekhout showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Bank in the 82nd minute of the match. Emil Bank hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute of the game, Jardel Head landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 84 minutes into the game, Yasin Yerel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.E.T.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Milan the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beniamin Gendolla in the 85th minute of play forced A.E.T.'s goalkeeper Ünal Başar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilles Eekhout made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Bank in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th match minute, A.E.T. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Bank to maneuver through the defense.
