Adnan Al Motar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some careless play in the Alwahda FC defense, Hani Al Hashash kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patryk Owsiak. The Alwahda FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patryk Owsiak should have stopped the shot. A collision led to SALT getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Salah Al Homaithe hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jawad Al Sarraf in the 20th minute of play forced SALT's goalkeeper Adnan Al Motar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gibrel Taqi took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patryk Owsiak. Patryk Owsiak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Jalal Al Rodhan might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adnan Al Motar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jalal Al Rodhan ran back to his position shaking his head. SALT's Adnan Al Motar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamzah Khorshed in the 25th minute of play. Adnan Al Motar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohammad Al Srae, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th match minute, SALT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rajab Al Enzi to maneuver through the defense. Adnan Al Motar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faisal Taqi, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. When SALT's Hani Al Hashash in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alwahda FC's goalie prevented a goal. Mazen Al Mahmed hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Adnan Al Motar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamzah Khorshed in the 43rd minute of play. Adnan Al Motar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jawad Al Sarraf in the 46th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in SALT fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty!

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hani Al Hashash to strike the kick off in the second half. Adnan Al Motar made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Jawad Al Sarraf sent off a good shot on target. In the 65thth minute of the game Hamzah Khorshed who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SALT's Adnan Al Motar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 67th minute, Darweesh Al Ammar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adnan Al Motar was a little too slow when Mazen Al Mahmed got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 2-4. 78 minutes into the game, SALT's Salah Al Homaithe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patryk Owsiak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. Adnan Al Motar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faisal Taqi in the 82nd minute of the match. SALT's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Mohammad Al Srae scored to the left of an out of position Adnan Al Motar, making the score, 3-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Meqdad Taiban managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alwahda FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Meqdad Taiban was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adnan Al Motar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adnan Al Motar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamzah Khorshed, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hani Al Hashash during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Alwahda FC booed when SALT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hani Al Hashash didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faisal Taqi in the 99th minute of play forced SALT's goalkeeper Adnan Al Motar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Alwahda FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SALT throughout the match.
