In the 12th minute, Murillo Loureiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciceron Cervera was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ryan Reynoso kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Estrella's goalkeeper Ciceron Cervera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Verdão da Mantiqueira's goalkeeper Albertinho Fontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ryan Reynoso. When Demario Sardaneta fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estrella's protests and gave Demario Sardaneta a yellow card for diving instead. Demario Sardaneta hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Ciceron Cervera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Murillo Loureiro went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Ciceron Cervera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Fonseca in the 31st minute of play. Ryan Reynoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Albertinho Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciceron Cervera came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Verdão da Mantiqueira's Basílio Fonseca. But to his dismay, Basílio Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Ciceron Cervera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Fonseca in the 43rd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Cerilo Travieso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Albertinho Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 played minutes Estrella got a freekick which was hit by Cerilo Travieso. The supporters of Estrella booed when Verdão da Mantiqueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdir Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Murillo Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciceron Cervera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murillo Loureiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Estrella's goalkeeper Ciceron Cervera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Basílio Fonseca. Albertinho Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Churruca in the 74th minute of play. Murillo Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Ciceron Cervera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 played minutes Verdão da Mantiqueira got a freekick which was hit by José Augusto de Amorim. Albertinho Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryan Reynoso in the 89th minute of the match. Ryan Reynoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albertinho Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demario Sardaneta in the 92nd minute of play. The Verdão da Mantiqueira supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Verdão da Mantiqueira would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
