Seating: 1184, VIP seats: 103) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomislav Cvetanoski started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the game, Nikola Sitnikovski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Macedonia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Latvia the free kick. 4 minutes into the match, U21 Macedonia's goalkeeper Veljko Cvetanov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Uvis Ūpis. With a little luck, U21 Macedonia's Veljko Cvetanov got control of the ball when Uvis Ūpis tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomislav Cvetanoski in the 8th minute of play forced U21 Latvia's goalkeeper Gaidis Vaicahovskis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Naum Cvetkovič was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 10 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bērtulis Pupurs got free with Veljko Cvetanov in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastijans Spars struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Veljko Cvetanov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Latvia. 18 minutes into the match, Sebastijans Spars notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of U21 Macedonia's Veljko Cvetanov. Veljko Cvetanov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boris Hristov in the 22nd minute of play forced U21 Latvia's goalkeeper Gaidis Vaicahovskis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nikola Sitnikovski hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. U21 Latvia's Bērtulis Pupurs shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 25th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Veljko Cvetanov but with some difficulty. Sebastijans Spars could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Veljko Cvetanov made a huge save. The supporters of U21 Latvia booed when U21 Macedonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boris Hristov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Veljko Cvetanov was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Sebastian Bach capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sebastian Bach really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. U21 Macedonia's Veljko Cvetanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bērtulis Pupurs in the 39th minute of play. Veljko Cvetanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastijans Spars in the 41st minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, U21 Latvia's goal looked a bit too open when Tomislav Cvetanoski came free, but Gaidis Vaicahovskis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaidis Vaicahovskis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomislav Cvetanoski in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bērtulis Pupurs to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, U21 Macedonia's goal looked a bit too open when Uvis Ūpis came free, but Veljko Cvetanov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 52nd minute, Uvis Ūpis made a precise shot to the right of Veljko Cvetanov. U21 Macedonia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. A collision led to U21 Macedonia getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Venko Sitnikovski hit a great ball. Sebastijans Spars's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Veljko Cvetanov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Tomislav Cvetanoski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. U21 Latvia's Eižens Vecvagars was substituted for Sebastijans Spars. U21 Macedonia's Dame Naceski was substituted for Erkand Boškovski. U21 Macedonia made a substitution. Paskal Partenijev replaced Venko Sitnikovski. Sigurds Kiriks hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boris Hristov in the 65th minute of play forced U21 Latvia's goalkeeper Gaidis Vaicahovskis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eižens Vecvagars in the 67th minute of play forced U21 Macedonia's goalkeeper Veljko Cvetanov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as U21 Macedonia's Tomislav Cvetanoski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gaidis Vaicahovskis. That made the score 3-1 after 68 minutes of play. Veljko Cvetanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andžejs Baumerts in the 79th minute of the match. Veljko Cvetanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Bach in the 81st minute of play. If Andžejs Baumerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the game, Dame Naceski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Macedonia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Latvia the free kick. Dame Naceski kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Veljko Cvetanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uvis Ūpis in the 86th minute of the match. In the 89th minute Ingus Rencis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Veljko Cvetanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomislav Cvetanoski during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 91 played minutes U21 Macedonia got a freekick which was hit by Tomislav Cvetanoski. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andžejs Baumerts in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Veljko Cvetanov saved U21 Macedonia from getting behind. In the 94th minute Eižens Vecvagars shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Veljko Cvetanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. U21 Latvia fully deserved thier win.
