Guto Zanette started the match with the kick off. Sydney Oliveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abel Linares's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. The supporters of Anhoma AD booed when Verdão da Mantiqueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Augusto de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 5 played minutes, Anhoma AD's Tarcisio da Fonseca shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Niklas Lundhberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Anhoma AD reached it. In the 9th minute, Abel Linares reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sydney Oliveira. The goal made the score 1-0. Niklas Lundhberg came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Anhoma AD's Guto Zanette. But to his dismay, Guto Zanette quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Richie Scholey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the match, Tiago Gabriel Messias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sydney Oliveira. Anhoma AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiago Gabriel Messias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 20th minute, Verdão da Mantiqueira's Abel Linares ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sydney Oliveira. Sydney Oliveira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. 25 minutes into the match, Tiago Gabriel Messias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sydney Oliveira. Anhoma AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiago Gabriel Messias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Ronaldão Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sydney Oliveira made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when José Augusto de Amorim sent off a good shot on target. Sydney Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richie Scholey in the 33rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Anhoma AD's Ademar Teles got a free kick in the 34th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Anhoma AD's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Linares came free, but Sydney Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastião Andrade hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute Umberto Munhoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niklas Lundhberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Murillo Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sydney Oliveira having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

The wind increased when Abel Linares made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Anhoma AD booed when Verdão da Mantiqueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murillo Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th match minute, Anhoma AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldemar Bastos to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute, Tiago Gabriel Messias made a precise shot to the right of Sydney Oliveira. Anhoma AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 6-2 when Abel Linares sped through Anhoma AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sydney Oliveira. Ronaldinho Gaúcho was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 76 minutes into the match. In the 76th match minute, Anhoma AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldinho Gaúcho to maneuver through the defense. Abel Linares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Richie Scholey struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Sydney Oliveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Verdão da Mantiqueira. Niklas Lundhberg made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Ronaldão Duarte sent off a good shot on target. Guto Zanette's late challenge caught a Verdão da Mantiqueira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guto Zanette helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Anhoma AD getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Guto Zanette hit a great ball. In the 84th minute Tiago Gabriel Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sydney Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Gabriel Messias in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Guto Zanette got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Verdão da Mantiqueira's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
