Jacek Gmoch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vance Crossman in the 9th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Darick Gillmour ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronny Black was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darick Gillmour in the 22nd minute of play forced Northern Ireland's goalkeeper Ronny Black to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Darick Gillmour came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Ireland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darick Gillmour couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute, Darick Gillmour left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ireland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Russ McCann hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Northern Ireland's goalkeeper Ronny Black, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Vance Crossman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Darick Gillmour to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Vance Crossman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Northern Ireland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vance Crossman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Vance Crossman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Northern Ireland's supporters rose to their feet, but Vance Crossman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darick Gillmour's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Ronny Black skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Ireland's Doney Murphy got a free kick in the 76th minute. After 77 played minutes, Northern Ireland's Stevie Whiteley shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jacek Gmoch came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Northern Ireland reached it. Darick Gillmour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ronny Black made an important save on a dangerous shot by Darick Gillmour in the 95th minute. Ireland's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
