Hey
Ok, the title is a lie. I did have millions in the bank and I forgot to ever log into my hockey team so it went inactive.
Anyway, what skills are important in hockey? Which are irrelevant?
Any particular tactics that are worthwhile?

Power is the most important, then shooting if winger, checking if defender.
Quickness, stamina and skating are the secondaries and passing and PI are pretty useless.
There are some reports talking about tactics but I believe tactic is not as important as 10 pucks in power hehe.
Welcome back by the way!!

Methos used to have a decent little site with the basics for hockey, but looks like he's taken it down (or I can't fund a link).
The following thread covered some of the basics
http://managerzone.com/?p=forum&sub=topic&topic_id=10742149&forum_id=138&sport=hockey
And there's a guide in English Zone 15, which although written in 2007, says pretty much the same and is still mostly relevant
